We keep it small on purpose: consent-gated analytics, no ads, no accounts, no profiles.
ClutchBrief is a reading site. There is nothing to sign up for and no personal account, so we collect as little as a modern site can. This page explains exactly what is measured, who processes it, and how to switch it off.
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which briefs are read, on aggregate. It runs under Google Consent Mode v2 and is never loaded before you interact with the page — if you decline the cookie banner, Analytics is not loaded at all.
The only value we store in your browser is a single key, cb_consent (your accept/decline choice), plus your theme preference. We set no advertising cookies and run no ad or tracking networks.
What we collect
- Aggregate analytics (with consent): pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, referrer. IP is anonymised. We never see your identity.
- Server logs: our hosting and CDN keep standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) briefly, for security and abuse prevention.
- Contact messages: if you email us or use the contact form, we keep what you send in order to reply.
We do not run accounts, newsletters, or user profiles, and we do not sell or share data for advertising.
Who processes data for us
- Google Analytics — aggregate audience measurement.
- Bunny CDN — image and asset delivery.
- Vercel — site hosting and request logs.
Your choices
Decline the cookie banner and no analytics cookies are set. To change a previous choice, clear this site's data in your browser (removing cb_consent) and the banner returns on your next visit. Because our Consent Mode default is denied, analytics stays off until you actively opt in.
