Arsenal injury update before Napoli: Timber back, Mosquera a doubt

Jurriën Timber joined Arsenal training on Tuesday morning and travelled with the squad to Naples, which gives Mikel Arteta at least one defensive boost before Napoli. Cristhian Mosquera did not train ahead of the match and remains a doubt, while William Saliba is still a long-term absentee with a back injury.

Timber's return and Mosquera's setback

Arteta said Timber was ready to be involved, with the defender “in really good condition at the moment” after training with the group for a few weeks. That lines up with the club's decision to take him to Naples, even if his first competitive minutes of the season are not being pushed as a certainty.

Mosquera is the less encouraging part of the update. Arteta said he “had a muscular issue” and added, “We think it is not too much but we need to wait and see in the next few days how it evolves.” Arsenal will keep checking him before the tie, but the immediate picture is that Timber is back in the mix and Mosquera is not.
